So I have been asked what Geocaching is and here is an explanation. (This is the activity we did on our family reunion)
"Geocaching is a high-tech treasure hunting game played throughout the world by adventure seekers equipped with GPS devices. The basic idea is to locate hidden containers, called geocaches, outdoors and then share your experiences online. Geocaching is enjoyed by people from all age groups, with a strong sense of community and support for the environment." (Taken from http://www.geocaching.com/.)
In other words you use one of these: To find a coordinate you get from the Geocaching website and look for boxes people have left all around the world, and even in your area. It is a really fun game. You take little objects with you so that when you find a box you can take an object out of it and then leave on for another person to find. Sometimes the boxes you find just have paper in them for people to log that they have been there. You can also get clues on the Geocaching website, how to find each cach. This is really something for all ages.
If anyone wants to go with us sometime to see how it works then let us know. (My directions are probably hard to understand.) Let me know if this is confusing...
I was just wondering who reads my blog. I thought it might help me feel more inspired to post more often. I love you all for reading my blog. I just need some encouragement. Then I think I will have more fun postings. So give me a shout out if you read this. Thanks!
